I first learnt about mechanical watches as a kid. The idea of a watch that could keep going forever, powered purely by an intricate combination of gears and springs enthralled me. I was also told then that timepieces were a luxury; an impression that stuck with me.

Fast forward some years, the wisdom of the ages (actually just the Internet) has kindly taught me that a plethora of options exist at all sorts of price points. This blog was started as a means of documenting my own journey into exploring affordable watches that everyone can enjoy, and to share what I learn along the way.
